BERLIN | NEUKÖLLN, 2023
This Altbau apartment held plenty of charm but had lost some of its original appeal over time. The empty space felt tired and in need of a fresh perspective to make it an inviting home once again. The owners had already invested in a bathroom renovation, but with a limited budget remaining for interior design, styling, and furnishing, we had to be strategic in our approach.
Our goal was to create a stylish and welcoming space that would appeal to expats looking for a mid-term rental in Berlin—a place that felt like home from the moment they stepped inside. With careful planning and an eye for detail, we focused on maximizing the apartment’s potential through color, textures, and decorative elements rather than extensive renovations.
A cohesive color palette set the foundation for the design, bringing warmth and depth to the rooms while enhancing the natural light so characteristic of Altbau apartments. Thoughtfully chosen textiles added layers of comfort and personality, making the space feel both elegant and cozy.
The result is a proof that a thoughtful approach to design can transform a space, even with budget constraints.
